自認優越嘅上一代 德國篇

近年主打寫科學普及,已經甚少寫時事。有啲上一代鍾意以科技盲為榮,成日批判年輕一代、批評新科技。但唔好以為只係得香港先有呢種自認優越嘅上一代。

我住慕尼黑,通常日頭做完研究夜晚就出去做運動。尋晚攀完石十一點幾,坐地鐵返屋企,順手拎部電話 po 攀石相上 Instagram 同 Facebook 呃吓 like ,是常識吧。突然坐我對面個德國人伸個頭埋嚟睇我部電話個螢幕。

咁我梗係睥住佢啦,大佬你識唔識規矩?知唔知咩叫私隱?何況我識你老鼠呀?

之後佢開始用德文同我講嘢。雖然我有學過德文,但大佬攀完石已經攰㗎啦,仲要我腦部運作做翻譯?咪搞,即刻講句 “Entschuldigen, ich kann nur ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen.” 即係「Sor9ry,我只識講少少德文。」咁解。希望佢知難而退咪 L 阻住我呃 like。(好多德國人英文都差過香港人好多)

點知條友唔放棄,用英文講 “Sorry, but I see you are always looking at your phone. I know it is interesting but I think you should not look at it every moment.” 我真係火都嚟,我坐地鐵上網呃 like 你識條鐵咩。

我就話:”It’s like people looking at newspapers 50 years ago.”

諗住佢會 feel 到我唔 gur,自動收皮啦。點知佢繼續講:”But it is a different thing 50 years ago with newspapers you realize the world around you. With this thing you don’t.”

真係火都嚟。係要逼我發火。我上調聲浪問佢:”How do you know I don’t realize the world around me?”

佢呆咗。睇怕佢冇諗過會有人反問佢,叫佢 justify 佢個斷言。我再講:”Maybe in 50 years they will say the phone is a different thing.”

佢死雞撐飯蓋:”In 50 years people won’t talk anymore.”

我:”Yes they will talk telepathically.”

科幻作家亞瑟.克拉克 (Arthur C. Clarke,《2001太空漫遊》作者) 同天文學家卡爾.薩根 (Carl Sagan,《超時空接觸》作者) 都講過類似說話:「任何足夠先進的文明都與魔術無法分辨。」

人類科學發展係以指數上升,呢種人跟唔上科技進步,就用「你唔同人溝通」呢種斷言去攻擊用新科技嘅新一代。面對呢種人,最好方法就係叫佢 justify 佢個斷言,就可以輕鬆 KO。因為佢 justify 唔到。

其實唔明白新科技、唔使用新科技係完全冇問題,個人選擇。只不過唔好因為接受唔到科技發展速度之快,就將新科技視為壞事、標籤其他人。

好彩之後佢要落車,唔係我真係要同佢玩落去,浪費時間。我頭也不回,有禮拜咁拋低一句 “Servus.” (拜仁人用嘅問候語),然後回復我廢青網民現實失敗者嘅身分,上網打呢篇文做網絡判官。完!
